Subterranean Heads Part 2

Went to GCS Santa Ana’s Subterranean Heads 2 Art Show.  Good Show. Lot’s of fantastic art, cool people, and a great atmosphere.  I had the opportunity to meet and talk with Mear One, one of the Los Angeles’ most talented artists.  He was approachable and down to earth.  We talked a little about his development as an artist and his subject matter.   It turns out that Mear One and Splat actually curated the show.  If you ever have the chance to go to the Santa Ana Art Walk-YOU SHOULD, and make sure you visit GCS Santa Ana when you go. Subterranean Heads 2

On February 4, 2012 GCS Santa Ana will be hosting the 2nd part of the Subterranean Heads Art Show. The show is being curated by 455er. It should be a great show, just like the first one back in September of 2011. This show is slated to feature work by:  Ambusch, Mear One, 455er, Rekal, Egads, Dume, Nasa Crew, Ash Conart, Biafra Inc, Akil Cronic Avengers, Pyro WCA, Ebenholz (Germany), Shiver AWR, Rodi, Splat, Art1, Hex, Czer, Just195, Free Humanity, YT, Phever…and Spoken word and Poetry by Mike The Poet.  After the jump are some shots from the September 2011 Subterranean Heads show. GCS Santa Ana Art Show

Santa Ana Art Walk Wanderings Part Dos…or this is what was going on at GCS Santa Ana.  They were hosting a $50 and under art exhibit.  Basically, all the pieces that were available for sale were priced at $50 or less….To say the least-It was packed…”sardines in can” style, or to be more current “8 people in a smart car” style. So….I was  only able to snap a couple of shots of the art and a couple of the master DJ at work….THE WIZARD was on the 1’s and 2’s. In any case here are the photos:

Santa Ana Art Walk

Welcome to this months edition of…..drum roll please….our Santa Ana Art Walk Wanderings. This is the January 7th, 2012 edition. WEEKEND FUN PART 2

David Flores Art Show GCS Santa Ana

Our Saturday then continued as we all went out to GCS Santa Ana for the David Flores Art show and 1st Saturday Art walk. It was a great art walk that included b-boys, live female window models, and even burlesque shows. GCS Santa Ana was popping as people gathered to see some great pieces from the David Flores collection. Check out the pictures below. (more…)
